fake antivirus

My son learned a hard lesson today as his computer is now infiltrated with the windows anti virus pro trojan malware. His system is completely useless at this point. The malware disguises itself as a anti virus solution and tricks you into installing it. Once installed it renders all means of uninstalling the program.

Fortunately my son is very affluent in Linux and Windows 7 and he will just reinstall his system, but what if he wasn't? What if it were your system or your parents system or a system you use to store all your photographs? The sad reality is you would probably lose your data.

I encourage you now more than ever get a competent back up solution for your data. A simple USB drive of 100gb or more can be the difference between data saved or lost for good. Online backup systems like www.carbonite.com also offer a option for online backup retrieval in the event of a system error.

Either way back up that data or you could find your self on the short end of a malware installation. If my learned son can fall pray to a virus believe me anyone can.

Have a great week!

Thanks
